Step 1: Cut off top of pineapple.
Step 2: Hold pineapple upright with one hand on side of pineapple and other hand on corer handle.
Tip: Core pineapple over a bowl or plate to catch loose juices.
Step 3: Center serrated end of pineapple corer over core, level with surface of cut pineapple.
Step 4: Turn handle clockwise while applying light pressure. Continue turning until you reach the bottom of the pineapple.
Step 5: Pull cut pineapple up and out of the skin.
Step 6: Remove handle and slide cored pineapple off the open end of the tube.
Step 7: The pineapple comes out as a continuous spiral. To cut the pineapple into individual rings, make one cut down through the whole spiraled pineapple plug to the open center.
Since the first ring starts out thinner than the rest, make your downward cut a few inches in from the beginning of the first ring.
I usually pop the trimmed off part of the first ring in my mouth, or I use it to make pineapple fruit leather.
Step 8: Push core out of the pineapple corer with a long-handled spoon.
The Newness Pineapple Corer & Slicer will cut eight to nine pineapple rings from an average-sized pineapple.

There may be some useable pineapple left under the skin after you pull out the rings. Cut the empty husk into quarters, then carefully run a knife under any remaining fruit. I use the scraps to make pineapple fruit leather, or I just set them aside to snack on later.
Pineapple chunks can be quickly cut from rings by placing the pineapple plug on its end and making four to eight downward cuts through the stack.
